Teaching-Artist Biography

Kathryn combines her passions for art and community by
facilitating in-person art classes and programs provincially, and virtually
on a national scale. She has over nine years of experience
working within the Canadian art sector as an artist, instructor,
organizer and facilitator. In Kathryn’s professional art practice,
she explores environmental, cultural and social practices that
connect communities across disciplines. She utilizes mixed
media techniques in her painting, drawing, and sculptural
practices that often explore the human condition as it exists
within the Anthropocene. Kathryn believes that art is an
essential human practice that builds meaningful connections
across cultures and communities.
