From drawing to painting, Kathryn will provide professional techniques, artist tips and positive encouragement to develop your artistic style.

Botanical Inspired Watercolour Painting

Explore the relaxing art of colour mixing and expand your knowledge of colour
theory with BC-based artist Kathryn Wadel. In this oil painting workshop Kathryn will demonstrate colour mixing recipes, balancing warm with cool tones, and creating contrast and harmony. You’ll be able to practice your colour mixing techniques, develop a series of colour recipe references, and create an abstract painting with your favourite colour palette.

This pilot project will support young emerging artists in Renfrew-Collingwood with mentorship, resources, and studio space to create works to showcase during the 19th Annual Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival.
